I have known quite a few people in my life that have lost appendages of some sort, and it always makes you feel fortunate to have all of your own still intact. I have an uncle who passed away some years ago who lost many fingers in a mining accident in Montana when he was younger. As an artist and guitar player I think I would struggle with the loss of any fingers or an arm, I kind of need them for what I do. That would be kind of devastating to me and I think it would take me a very long time to get past moping around about it and find something else I could do. But I think I eventually would, I just don’t want to have to. Although, I think if I were to lose my index, ring and pinky fingers the irony would almost make up for the loss.
