They say that reading is fundamental, but you have to be careful about what you read sometimes. Just because something is in writing doesn’t mean that it’s the absolute authority. I read somewhere once that by the year 2000 we would all be getting around in flying cars and we would each have a personal robot that would take care of the menial tasks we have to do every day. That didn’t pan out so well did it? Not all writings are wrong, but not all are right either.
I suppose I have gotten over the fact that the flying car thing didn’t work out, although it would have been nice to be able to bypass the limitations of roads. But the robot? I still want my robot.
